What happened

Gunmen invaded Abugi, Kuchinda and Mikugi communities in Kupa Kingdom, Lokoja LGA of Kogi State, killing more than five residents in what the state government described as a reprisal attack following the killing of an unarmed herder by a local vigilante member suspecting cattle rustling. The Kogi government condoled with victims' families and ordered arrests.
